- Ride leaders should always introduce themselves to new group members.
- Arrive early so you can brief the group regarding the ride details.
- Have a minimal tool kit comprising of a multi-tool, at least 2 inner tubes, a puncture repair kit and pump. This is just in case any riders have forgotten their own!
- Ensure guests complete the appropriate paper work.
- Ensure all members of the group adhere to the Highway Code and Club Code of Conduct.
- It is important to keep the group together. This includes regrouping at the top of climbs.
- Look after tiring riders by introducing more rest stops if required.
- Take charge of incidents or delegate as appropriate.

- Malmesbury Cycling Club is an affiliated member of Cycling UK which means we register our nominated Ride Leaders and receive insurance cover for our club rides.
